Sheriff’s Deputies Investigate Reasons Behind Pugh’s Injuries

Big Bear, Ca, February 4, 2011, 4:00pm - In the early morning hours of January 30th, at approximately 7:30 a.m., deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to an incident in the 400 block of Woodside Drive in Big Bear City.  Upon arrival, deputies discovered a disoriented subject identified as Michael Pugh, a 64-year-old white male adult and resident of Big Bear City.  Pugh appeared to have sustained severe injuries, and was therefore airlifted to a hospital in Palm Springs for treatment of his injuries.  Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating how Pugh received his injuries.  At this time deputies know that prior to sustaining injuries, Michael Pugh had left a residence on Ridgeside Drive in Big Bear City at approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 30 wearing only blue jeans and socks.  Anyone having information regarding Michael Pugh’s activities between the hours of 4:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on January 30 is encouraged to contact the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station at (909) 866-0100.
