Sheriff’s Department Seeks Information Regarding Possible Arson, Resulting in Sunday’s Crestline Brush Fire

fire-thumbOn Sunday afternoon (September 27), the Crest Forest Fire Department and the U.S. Forest Service responded to an acre brush fire on the upslope side of Old Mill Road in Crestline. The origin and cause of the fire, which did not damage any property, is unknown at this time, though the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the likelihood of arson in this incident, and seeking the community’s assistance. Those with any information regarding Sunday’s vegetation fire in Crestline are asked to call the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station at 909/336-0600.
