Sheriff Rod Hoops Announces Retirement

San Bernardino, CA, November 15, 2012, 6am - San Bernardino County Sheriff Rod Hoops will retire on December 31st. His 34 year career in law enforcement with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department started in 1978. Hoops released a statement that says he has accepted a post as an Executive Fellow with the Police Foundation in Washington, D.C. He says it’s an exciting opportunity that will allow him to remain involved with the law enforcement profession on a national and international level. Sheriff Hoops says he’s leaving on his own terms, with peace of mind, in good health and with no regrets.
