New School Year Starts Monday August 1st

Big Bear, Ca, July 28, 2011, 8:00am - For the youth of the valley, summer has almost come to a close as school will start back up for Bear Valley Unified School District on Monday, August 1st.  Students will have some new faces in the administration this year, as Tina Fulmer is taking over as Principal of Big Bear Middle School from her previous post as the Vice Principal of Big Bear High School.  Replacing Mrs. Fulmer as Vice Principal is John Fischer who comes to Big Bear from Indio where he was the Vice Principal at Indio High School.  The Superintendent is new this year as well as Kurt Madden, who comes to Big Bear from San Diego, has taken on the role as of July 1st.  Those entering the 9th grade this year can attend “Freshman Friday” tomorrow from 3 to 5pm at Big Bear High School.  Freshman, and their parents, can ask questions; buy PE clothes, and an ASB card.  To find out your child’s bus stop, and when they need to be picked up go to www.BigBearSchoolBus.com.  KBHR wishes all students, faculty and staff a great new school year!
