School Board, BBARWA and City’s Fire Protection District Meet on Wednesday

events-thumbThere are three public meetings scheduled for tomorrow, the first of which is the 9am meeting of the City of Big Bear Lake’s Fire Protection District. Tomorrow morning’s meeting, to be held in the Big Bear Lake Civic Center, will include discussion of water distribution and the DWP’s efforts to provide greater fire flow, an update on the H1N1 flu virus, and consideration of a fire engine purchase.
At 5pm on December 9, the Governing Board for the Big Bear Area Regional Wastewater Agency meets at the BBARWA offices at 121 Palomino Drive in Big Bear City. Tomorrow evening’s meeting covers November and December, as the regular fourth Wednesdays for BBARWA have coincided with Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Old business for BBARWA, to be addressed tomorrow, includes debt policy, capital improvement plans, and the community collection system for County Service Area 53B, or Fawnskin.
The Board of Trustees for Bear Valley Unified School District meets in closed session at 5:15pm Wednesday, with open session scheduled to begin at 6:30pm, in the multi-purpose room at Big Bear Elementary School, rather than the district offices. Tomorrow evening’s meeting is scheduled to include the annual organization of Trustees, a construction update, approval of contract amendments per approved budget reductions, and purchase approval for a Big Bear High School surveillance system.
