Big Bear Lake, CA, August 5, 2012 - [UPDATE] - Route 38 is now open in both directions, as of 8:18pm.
[ORIGINAL STORY] Big Bear Lake, CA, August 5, 2012, 10:00am – The CHP has closed Route 38 at Jenks Lake Road due to an overturned big rig blocking lanes there; it was reported as a single vehicle accident at 9:45a.m. today. The tanker was carrying propane and diesel and efforts are being made to contain any spill. A Haz Mat team is on scene. Until further notice, lanes are closed in both directions.
