Big Bear, Ca, October 12, 2011, 8:00am – In addition to the guardrail work being done by Caltrans on Highway 38 from Onyx Summit to Hatchery road on Wednesday, and on North Shore Drive from Cougar Crest Trailhead to Holcomb Valley road, emergency repair work will also take place on Highway 18, the front grade to repair a culvert. Flagging operations will be conducted while the culvert, located at Sheep Creek Wash just north of Highway 138, will be repaired on Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 8:00am to 5:00pm, and on Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Caltrans advises motorists to use alternate routes to avoid delays.
