Results of City Council’s Monday Meeting

At last night’s regularly scheduled meeting of the City of Big Bear Lake’s City Council, Council approved a joint agreement for the Senior Home Repair Program-Community Development Block Grant with the County of San Bernardino.  Also, Council did adopt resolutions certifying an Environmental Impact Report, Conditional Use Permit and the Density Bonus Affordable Housing Agreement for new construction of a 42-unit affordable workforce housing development at 737 to 773 Knickerbocker Road.  In addition, as part of the Green Building Program, council introduced the first reading of an ordinance to the Big Bear Lake Municipal Code to provide for a voluntary Green Building Program for residential, commercial and industrial projects.   Also at last night’s meeting, the Improvement Agency approved a resolution adopting the Affordable Housing Agreement between the Improvement Agency and the UHC for the new affordable workforce housing development on Knickerbocker Road.  The Improvement Agency also committed funds for the Senior Home Repair Program for fiscal years 2010-2011 and 2011-2012.
