According to Big Bear Mountain Resorts, this week’s snowfall is the single largest here in Big Bear in the last 35 years, bringing up to four feet of fresh snow to Snow Summit and Bear Mountain, which have a combined 16 chairlifts in operation today. In addition to the natural snow, snowmaking at the resorts has continued for the last six days, which will allow for almost all runs to be open by the weekend. Night session begins at the resorts this evening.
