Power Outage for Areas of Big Bear Thursday Evening

Big Bear, CA, November 8, 2012 – Residents began reporting areas of Big Bear Lake that were without power at approximately 7:45pm Thursday evening.  Wet roads and poor visibility may have contributed to the events but unconfirmed reports of an accident at Catalina in Big Bear Lake may be the cause of the power outage.  Crews for the electric company responded quickly and power began being restored to some of the affected areas as early as 9pm.  Areas affected included but may not be limited to Eagle Knolls, Fox Farm and Big Bear Boulevard locations.
