Planning Commission Accepting Applications: Deadline to Apply – February 23

 Big Bear, Ca, January 18 2011, 8:00am - The City of Big Bear Lake is asking for the community’s help in filling one immediate vacancy on the Planning Commission and one seat to open when a current term expires on June 30th. One vacancy was created when Commissioner David Caretto was elected to the City Council last November. Another seat will open when current Planning Commission Chairwoman Anne Zimmerman’s term expires on June 30th. Residents interested in serving are invited to apply for a seat on the Planning Commission, which consists of a five-member body, appointed by the City Council. To serve on the Commission you must be a full-time resident of Big Bear Lake and a registered voter. Applications can be obtained at the Civic Center, on-line at www.citybigbrearlake.com, or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 866-5831. Applications must be received by February 23rd at 5pm.
