Phone Service Restored After Widespread Outage

San Bernardino Mountains, CA, August 22, 2013 – According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, tests of telephone service show that it has been restored in the San Bernardino mountains.

A Verizon Fiber Optic Cable was damaged in the Big Bear area, causing problems with both land lines and cell phones — across multiple carriers.
