Big Bear Lake, CA, May 16, 2013 – Open Air Big Bear presents the 1st Annual Big Bear Lake Memorial 5K Fun Run on Sunday May 26.

The race starts at 10:00 a.m. in the Village, and winds along the National Forest boundary on a scenic, challenging course that leads back to the Village, where racers will be met with live music and local vendors at the Lifestyle Expo. Register online here!

The Big Bear Lake Memorial 5k Fun Run will be donating a portion of event proceeds to honor Wounded Warriors for their service. The vision of Wounded Warrior Project is “to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history,” with the following goals:

  • To raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members.
  • To help injured service members aid and assist each other.
  • To provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
