The weather forecast calls for light winds from the south today, so we may experience continued drift smoke here in the Valley, given the two fires that continue to burn off the mountain, the Oak Glen Fire and the Pendleton Fire in Yucaipa. The good news on these fires is that, as of last night (September 1), both are at 60% containment and the mandatory evacuation orders for Oak Glen and Yucaipa residents have been lifted. Still, we may see more drift smoke today, but just know that there are no fires in our immediate area and Highway 38 does remain open.
