Noises In The Night

Big Bear Lake, CA, January 31, 2013 - Many valley residents reported hearing lots of booming sounds during the night on January 29th and rattling of windows coming from the east. As it turns out, the military was doing a live fire exercise near 29 Palms, and the light easterly winds with our offshore flow provided just what it took to blow the sound right at us. Many people were rattled thinking it was an earthquake or possible mining going on at Mitsubishi, when called, they denied doing any blasting so it was likely the sound & results of real bombs being dropped in a training exercise near 29 palms.
