San Bernardino Mountains, Ca, December 15, 2010, 5:00pm - According to the National Weather Service a major winter storm is expected to impact California this weekend and persist through next week. The main impact for southwestern California will be a period of rain this weekend. Snow levels will lower to 7500 to 8000 feet with a period of heavier snow in the San Bernardino Mountains Saturday night into Sunday. It is expected that the Big Bear Valley will get mostly rain, with some snow. Remember to keep chains or cables in your car, and drive carefully.
