The 58th Annual National Day of Prayer will take place Thursday, May 7, 2009. Millions in America will unite in prayer as thousands of events will take place from coast to coast. The theme for this year is “Prayer… America’s Hope” and is based on the verse from Psalm 33:22 which states: “May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you.” Pastor Don Foor of Community Church by the Lake will be hosting this community-wide gathering, from 7-8:30pm, and the public is invited. Aaron Foor will be leading music and Pastor Jeff Tunnell will be facilitating a concert of prayer. There will be child care 0-5 years old and a special National Day of Prayer event for 6-12 years old lead by Elise Vazquez. The Pastors from the Ministerial Association who represent churches throughout our mountain community will also participate in this event.
