MWD’s East Public Launch Ramp to Re-open Friday, June 18 at 6am

The boat launch ramp and lakeside picnic area have been closed since the beginnning of the month, to allow for a construction project. As of tomorrow, the ramp will be open seven days a week, starting at 6am.

Big Bear Lake, CA — In news from the Big Bear Municipal Water District, the agency that oversees recreation activity on the lake, today is the final day of closure on the Carol Morrison East Public Launch Ramp, which has a newly paved parking lot and a new vessel Quagga Mussel decontamination station. As scheduled, the East Public Launch Ramp, on the North Shore just west of Stanfield Cutoff, will re-open to the public tomorrow, Friday, as of 6am.
This afternoon at 1:15pm, the Board of Directors for the MWD will convene at their offices on Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake for their regular third-Monday meeting; today’s agenda includes approval of the MWD budget for fiscal year 2010/2011.
