MWD Board to Review Dam Bridge Railing and Proposed Seawall During This Afternoon’s Regular Meeting

The Board of Directors of the Big Bear Municipal Water District meet for their first regular meeting of the month today (April 2) at 1pm at the MWD offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake. This afternoon’s agenda includes an informational presentation on the dam pedestrian bridge railing, and consideration of adoption of a mitigated negative declaration for a seawall in Metcalf Bay. The wall, if approved by a number of agencies (including the Department of Fish and Game), would include a protective rock trench extending into the lake bottom from a residential property on Lake Drive at Afton Road; as proposed, the seawall would be 25 feet long.
