mwdA special workshop to discuss kayak and canoe rentals outside of commercial marinas will be held this afternoon, as the Big Bear Municipal Water District’s Board of Directors will hold a public meeting at 2pm. The MWD’s General Manager Scott Heule tells KBHR that no action will be taken today, though the Board will be taking and reviewing public input regarding the rental of kayaks and canoes, again, not anchored at commercial facilities on Big Bear Lake. Prior to the 2pm workshop, the MWD Board will hold their regular meeting, at their offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake, at 1pm. The regular meeting agenda includes consideration of no change to the lease payment CPI agreement with Big Bear Marina, as well as consideration of the Proposition 1A receivables option to sell state tax revenue as bonds to California Communities, in order to receive those funds now rather than from the state in 2013.
