mwdlogothumbThe Board of Directors of the Big Bear Municipal Water District will once again address a resolution with regard to headwalks in their regular meeting, scheduled for 1:15pm today at the MWD offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake. Headwalks are the fixed piers or walks that extend from the shoreline and, given new Fish and Game, as well as CEQA, requirements that present additional obligations for the MWD, on July 20 the MWD had considered eliminating them as a dock option, as gangways are still a viable alternative. The Board’s Operations Committee of Todd Murphy and Skip Suhay will present additional findings with regard to headwalks in this afternoon’s meeting, at which time a decision may be made.
