Mountain Fitness Center Offers Freebie Seminar on Health Care Reform

Big Bear Lake, Ca, September 1, 2010, 12:00pm – Mountain Fitness Center is offering another one of its freebies.  Michael Helms, health insurance specialist, will present a free seminar on how Obama’s new health care laws will affect you.  Helms job within the health industry requires him to understand legislature that affects our health care.  Join Mountain Fitness Center for a “plain English” talk about what the new laws mean, and how they affect you.  Topics covered will include:  What takes effect now and what comes later, getting insurance for pre-existing conditions, changes to Medicare, subsidies for families, and when coverage becomes required.  The free seminars will take place on Wednesdays: September 8th, October 13th, and November 10th, from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Mountain Fitness Center on Fox Farm Road.  All are welcome, and RSVP’s are appreciated.  Call (909) 866-7020 for more information or to RSVP.

Angela Meyers moved to Big Bear in August of 2009, after spending a summer in Washington DC. Angela’s parents Roy and Susan Meyers met at Big Bear High School in 1967, and her Grandfather Rob Jacobson worked at the Big Bear Lake Post Office for 28 years. Angela graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a degree in Public Relations. While at CSUF she was the Director of Public Relations for the Associated Students for two years. Angela is a member of the Big Bear Valley Trails Foundation, The Big Bear Cycling Association, and races for, and is the co captain of Team Tough Chik, an all women's multi sport team.
