Missing: Sheriff’s Department Seeking Information on Whereabouts of Mike Markos of Big Bear City (Update: Found!)

As of this afternoon [January 14], the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing person within the Big Bear Valley. Per the just-issued [at 1:30pm] press release: “The subject is Mike Markos, a 49-year-old resident of Big Bear City. Markos is 5’10” tall, weighs 165 lbs., with grey hair and blue eyes. Markos left the area of Elysian Boulevard at Paradise Way in Big Bear City at approximately 10:30am this morning on foot. Markos was last seen wearing a light blue long-sleeved t-shirt, jeans, and was reported to be wearing a baseball cap. He did not have a jacket or winter gear with him at the time he left the area. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Markos is asked to immediately contact the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station at 909/866-0100.”
Update: As of the 4pm hour, officials with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department tell KBHR that Mr. Markos has been found. He was located walking back toward his home in Big Bear City, and is in good condition. The Bear Valley Citizens on Patrol volunteers contributed to this afternoon’s search.
