Miller Fire Now at 75% Containment with Full Containment Expected by Tonight

Lake Silverwood, CA, August 19, 2010, 12:00pm – As of this morning, August 19, 2010, the Miller Fire, is at 75% containment with full containment expected by early evening tonight.  The Miller Fire started Tuesday, August 17, 2010, shortly before 5pm on the northern edge of Lake Silverwood, north of Crestline in the San Bernardino Mountains.  The fire did not grow overnight and is holding at 66 acres.  The cause of the fire is under investigation.  According to John Miller, Public Information Officer for the US Forest Service, with the continued threat of thunderstorms and lightening, fire agencies are on alert and will have aircraft searching for any fire activity.
