Mill Fire Update and Highway 38 Re-Opens with Detour

Yucaipa, CA, June 28, 2013 – Cal Fire, the agency assigned to the Mill Fire, is reporting the fire to be remaining at 200 plus acres with no containment.  An evacuation was ordered earlier this afternoon for north of Carter and west of Bryant in the areas of Mentone and Yucaipa.  One house was partially damaged due to the fire.  Highway 38 has re-opened in both directions with a detour at Bryant off of Highway 38 at the Mill Creek Ranger Station through Oak Glen.  The Mill Fire was reported just after 2pm this afternoon and is no threat to the Big Bear Valley.
