Back in December, Big Bear Lake’s new Mayor Liz Harris adjourned the City Council meeting in memory of Curly Musgrave, a popular entertainer from Crestline who had performed at the Cowboy Gathering and other Big Bear events. The singer, songwriter and cowboy poet will be remembered with a celebration of life taking place on Saturday, January 9 at 10am at the First Baptist Church of Pomona, located at 601 Garey off Main Street. For more information on Musgrave’s life and music, visit the CowboyPoetry.com website; directions to the memorial are also posted on the site’s tribute page to Musgrave.
A celebration of life is also planned for Big Bear Lake resident Ted Fashempour, who passed away at age 56 on January 2. For memorial specifics, see our story on Fashempour.
