firequest-thumbYesterday’s caravan by the volunteers of the Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors included stops at each of the Big Bear Valley’s three fire departments, which includes Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, and County Fire’s station #49 in Fawnskin. After arriving via Mercy Air helicopter at the airport, the Quest team was greeted by the Big Bear City Fire Department, California Highway Patrol officers, and Brian Grimes with his antique fire engine. The Quest team then made the rounds, and collected over $2,000 in donations from the fire departments and local firemen’s associations; these funds will go toward assistance for burn survivors. Before continuing to the next town in their 13th annual fundraising rally, the Quest volunteers were treated to lunch, as in years past, at the Grizzly Manor.

The Firefighters Quest team was greeted by the CHP, the Big Bear City Fire Department, and Mark Durban on behalf of the Bear Valley Firemen's Association on Monday morning.
