Big Bear City, CA — Motorists traveling through Big Bear City this week (starting Monday, May 3) and next can expect delays, as there is a local development (and subsequent paving) project taking place on Highway 18/Big Bear Boulevard. Though not a CalTrans project, CalTrans tells KBHR that this project, from Blue Water (at Circle K) west to Pine View Drive is expected to last through May 14. During this two-week period, those traveling along Big Bear Boulevard through Big Bear City can expect delays as only one lane of the roadway will be open. (This project is not the Big Bear City highway widening project that CalTrans had held meetings about last summer; no word yet on when this will be implemented.)
