Kathy Campbell To Be Honored With Community Appreciation Award

Big Bear, Ca, June 3, 2011, 9:00am - The Big Bear Lake International Film Festival (BBLIFF) has announced Kathy Campbell as the 2011 recipient of its annual Community Appreciation Award. Big Bear knows Kathleen Campbell from her 30 year involvement with Recreation and Parks, as a 26 year School Board member, an active 25 year member of Soroptimist International and a community volunteer.  Campbell also has a background in performing arts, as she took dance and singing lessons as a child, was involved in school performances and local theatre.  Kathy said, “The benefit of living in a small community and being involved is getting to know many wonderful people and developing great friendships. I am truly blessed to have worked and to live in such a beautiful place.  Life is good”!  The Festival will pay tribute to Kathy at the Honorary Awards Ceremony at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center on Friday, September 16. Kathy is being recognized for continuously giving back to Big Bear through her generous participation and outstanding contributions to the many organizations she works with.
