The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Department was called yesterday afternoon, after a human foot had been found in a bag during snowplow operations near a chain control point on Highway 330 between Running Springs and San Bernardino. Since transporting the foot to the Coroner’s Division, positive identification has been made on the foot, which was determined to be that of a female; her name has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin. An autopsy will be conducted on other remains found to determine the exact cause of death. Anyone with any information regarding the foot found in a bag near the middle passing lane of Highway 330 yesterday is asked to call Sergeant Tony DeCecio or Detective Travis Newport at 387-3589. Those with information who wish to remain anonymous may call We Tip at 1-800-78-CRIME.
