Highway 330 Temporarily Closed Due to Small Fire

At approximately 10am this morning, the U.S. Forest Service has temporarily closed Highway 330, below Running Springs, for the safety of fire crews working on a fire that was caused by a lightening strike earlier this morning.  Crews are currently battling six natural wild land fires in the San Bernardino Mountains.  Lightening strikes caused all six fires.  Smoke may be visible today as crews work on the McKinley fire located on top of Harrison Mountain which is located West of Highway 330 and North of the City of Highland.  Again, Highway 330 is temporarily closed with no estimation of when the road will re-open.
