Friday night sessions at Snow Summit start this evening so, in addition to half-day sessions at both Summit and Bear, Summit will be open until 9:30pm on both Fridays and Saturdays. In other fun news from the slopes, Chair 6 at Snow Summit is now open, accessing black diamond runs Olympic and the Wall, and at Bear Mountain, Southern California’s highest chair lift-served peak is also open, so skiers and riders can take the steep slope of Geronimo! Over the holiday period, lift ticket reservations are recommended, via BigBearMountainResorts.com.

Black diamonds, anyone? Chair 6 at Snow Summit is now open, allowing access to Olympic and the Wall. (Photo taken in February, as we have less ice on Big Bear Lake this week.)
