Friends Of The Library Week

Big Bear Lake, CA, October 24, 2012, 6am - This week is Friends of the Library Week. The Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library association supports and raises funds for programs and activities of the Big Bear Lake Branch of the San Bernardino County Library. Because of the budget constraints experienced by the County Library system, the Friends of the Library have made additional efforts to help. During the last fiscal year the total income was just over $22,000 and for the first quarter of the current year about $4,000. Total expenditures in the last fiscal year were about $13,000. There are currently 135 members. Information about membership, committee participation, grants and donations is available at the Library or by calling 866-5571.
