Flickering and Power Surges Occuring Valley Wide: Edison Working to Fix the Problem

Big Bear, Ca, December, 29, 2010, 1:00pm – You may have noticed flickering, or power surges since late afternoon Tuesday, December 28th.  This is due to problems with the Southern California Edison Line that delivers power to the mountain.  The flickering, and surges have been happening intermittently valley wide, however there have been no power outages.  According to Bear Valley Electric, Edison crews are working to fix this problem, however they don’t have an estimated time of when it will be fixed.
