Flash Floods Near Forest Falls And Mill Creek

Forest Falls, CA, August 17, 2012, 4:00pm - Flash flooding has been reported this afternoon in the Mill Creek area and Valley of the Falls Drive, in Forest Falls. Fire officials said the mud flow was about five feet deep. Highway 38 remains open. Flash flooding occurs along roadways, around underpasses, in normally dry washes and low lying areas. The national weather service advises motorists and residents not to cross flooded roadways or walk through flood waters.
