If you heard the many sirens this morning (April 20) at around 10am, this was in response to a small brush fire at the east end of the Valley. The brush fire only burned a 10’x10’ spot off Highway 38 at Mitchell Lane. Crews from both the San Bernardino National Forest and the Big Bear City Fire Department responded to the fire, which was quickly contained.
