Water customers within the Big Bear Valley, which constitutes nearly 15,700 residences and businesses, will soon have the option of online payment availability. Just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Board of Commissioners for the Department of Water and Power approved the online payment option, directing staff to get the software in place. Though no start date for this method of payment has yet been announced, online credit card payments for DWP customers are coming. In other news from the DWP meeting of November 24, the utility is moving forward in pursuit of funding through the USDA’s Rural Development program.
