The Board of Commissioners of the Department of Water and Power will hold a special meeting tomorrow morning, April 7, at 9am. The Consent Calendar includes a resolution to clarify the purposes for which the system rehabilitation fee component of the monthly service charge may be used. Per the pending resolution, up to $1 million in system rehabilitation fees in fiscal year 2009/2010 will, in lieu of an additional water rate increase, be used for costs associated with operating and maintaining DWP’s water system, including administration and overhead costs. The DWP meeting will be held at the utility’s offices, at 41972 Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake.
