At the August 19th meeting of the Bear Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees, Board members were informed of the estimated amount remaining from Measure Q funds expected to be left over after construction at the schools in the district is complete.  Approximately $3,236,949.00 remains in the Measure Q budget.  Any remaining Measure Q funds will be allocated to additional projects at the schools with a recommendation presented by Walter Con, Director of Business Services of the school district.  At last week’s meeting, the decision was made to do a one on one classroom analysis of every classroom and portable in the district to determine specifically what recommendations can be made.   Inspections are beginning this week.  At this time, the initial construction has been completed at all of the elementary schools.  The last bit of work to be done at the Big Bear High School is the quad area, which is expected to be completed by September 20th.  More extensive construction is on going at the Middle School and that is expected to be completed by October 31st.
