Dinner and Entertainment at Sustain Event, to Benefit Local Families in Need

In an effort to help local families in need, the Big Bear-based Sylas.net is hosting a Friday night event billed as Sustain, which will feature a dinner of chili and cornbread (hot dogs for the kids) and entertainment at Community Church by the Lake, on the Boulevard at Knickerbocker in Big Bear Lake. This is not a church event, but a community event with 100% of proceeds to benefit those within the Big Bear Valley who are suffering in these economic times. Per event organizer Andy Meadors, “The event will begin as mellow ‘coffee shop’ type music and grow progressively louder.” The eight groups will perform from 6 to 10pm on the 20th, and will include local rock band Thirty-5-for-Life. Admission to the Sustain event is $10 and attendees who contribute items of food will receive a raffle ticket for a prize drawing. Adds Meadors, “Come, eat a warm meal, have fun, give a little, and make a big impact for others in need, right here in Big Bear Valley.”
