San Bernardino/Big Bear Lake, CA — San Bernardino County Supervisors convene for a regular meeting tomorrow morning, March 16, during which time they are expected to proclaim March as Child Abuse Prevention Month for the County of San Bernardino. In agenda items specific to the Big Bear Valley, Tuesday’s 10am meeting will include recognition of local historian Tim Sweet; Third District County Supervisor Neil Derry has added Sweet, who passed away a week ago Monday, to the memorial adjournment which will honor 17 residents from San Bernardino County. Supervisors meetings are available for viewing online, via sbcounty.gov/main/countyvision.
And, after several tries over the last few months, the Advisory Commission for the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District will convene for their first regular meeting since November. With no snow in the forecast, Commissioners Don Pletcher, Kathryn Poole, Gloria Rose and Bob Ybarra are scheduled to meet at the Big Bear Senior Center at 5pm Tuesday evening, March 16. One vacancy on this commission remains, and can be applied for via the website of the Clerk of the Board for San Bernardino County.
The school district’s Budget Advisory Committee also meets on Tuesday; see earlier posting for specifics.
