Looking for Common Ground With Your Teen? Monday’s Free Workshop for Parents Will Include Panel of Experts

03/10/2010 By Catherine Sandstrom

Common Ground workshops are designed to strengthen the mutual respect between parents and teenagers.

Big Bear Lake, CA — Parents, if you have missed out on the Monday evening Common Ground workshops, another free learning and sharing opportunity will be available on March 15. The parent support network Common Ground will host a panel of experts on Monday at 6:30pm for a workshop titled Back on Track: Reconnecting With Your Teen. For those who have had a challenging relationship with their child, or want to prevent such challenges in their teenage years, Common Ground’s panel of parents, teens and social service agency representatives will review the topics of discussion covered in the first of the Monday workshops, including Empathy vs. Anger, Setting Effective Limits and Consequences, and How Do I Make My Kid Behave?! There is no fee to parents to participate in these supportive and educational offerings, though RSVPs are requested by calling 801-1766. Monday’s Back on Track: Reconnecting With Your Teen session will be held at Community Church by the Lake and, again, takes place at 6:30pm.
