bbcfire-thumbEast Valley residents are encouraged to take advantage of free neighborhood curbside chipping, which gets underway for a number of neighborhoods as of today. The program, implemented by the Big Bear City Fire Department and San Bernardino County Fire, rolls through the following neighborhoods through month’s end: Big Bear City, North Shore, Shay Meadow, Erwin Lake, Meadowbrook Estates and Lake Williams. Chipping materials, including trimmed trees and dead vegetation, for these neighborhoods should be curbside today. Questions on East Valley chipping can be directed to the Big Bear City Fire Department at 585-2362; information is also available on their website at BigBearCityFire.org. For those in Big Bear Lake, curbside chipping is available on demand, by placing a call to the City at 752-2805.
