Celebrate The Spirit Of The Renaissance Over Two Weekends

Fawnskin, CA, August 6, 2012, CA, 8:00am – This month, Queen Elizabeth’s Royal Court and Lord Mayor Johnnie Breen will preside over the Big Bear Renaissance Faire — an authentic re-creation of an English Summer Faire set during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. It’s fun for the whole family with jugglers, musicians, a children’s area, ethnic food & drink, belly dancers, knights jousting on horseback, a live steel battle and living history encampments and demonstrations. The 22 entertainment groups performing on five stages include the Bawdy Juggler, The Belles of Bedlam, The Moonridge Animal Park, Tribal Beats, Gallows Humor, Mister Mac, Victoria Goring, Argus the Miracle Ship Builder, The Knights of Mayhem, Suspended Reality, El Moro, Galileo and Wren of Iniquity and new entertainers, Broon, William the completely average Ciran gypsy Magician, Birds of a Feather, Pardon my French!, Nightingale, Lady Amber and her Merry Makers, The Enchanted Forest story teller and Danse Macabre. Renaissance Faire dates are August 11, 12, 18 and19, 10 am to 6 pm at 39115 Rim of the World Drive, Fawnskin, CA 92333. Advance tickets may be purchased through the Renaissance Society web site www.bbvrsinc.org or by calling 800-424-4232. The Big Bear Valley Renaissance Society, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose profits go to children and teachers for scholarships and educational endeavors. Two local students received scholarships from the organization this year.
