Catch a Wave, or Wake, With the Big Bear Surf Club; August 8 Surf Contest to Benefit Surfrider Foundation

surflogo300The Big Bear Surf Club, which meets monthly and surfs all over Southern California in group field trips, will host their second annual surf contest on Saturday, August 8. The event takes place at San Onofre State Beach and will serve as a fundraiser for the club, with some of the proceeds to benefit the Surfrider Foundation. The August 8 surf contest is open to all and, even if you don’t surf, you can join the Big Bear Surf Club on the beach and participate in free surf lessons or their raffle prize giveaway, with tickets available for $5 each.
