The Board of Directors for the Bear Valley Community Healthcare District will hold a special meeting tomorrow morning, to address the resignation of Director Bill Speyers, whose term on the board expires in November 2010. Per the hospital’s acting CEO Rudy Shutta, Speyers submitted his resignation in writing, which was received by the healthcare district in the days surrounding the New Year’s Day holiday. As Speyers was elected treasurer of the board during their December 22 meeting, the remaining board, which includes President Dr. Chris Fagan, Brad Summers, Kathy Bauch and Ron Peavy, will determine the process to select a new board member and, in turn, treasurer. The 7:30am meeting on January 12, to be held in the hospital conference room, will be preceded by closed session, during which time the Healthcare District Board will address public employee discipline/dismissal/release for an unnamed employee.
