There will be some additional delays on Highway 18 at the Big Bear Dam this week, to accommodate blasting, which is scheduled to take place from 1 to 3pm, today (August 31) through Thursday (September 3). Motorists taking Highway 18 en route to Highway 330 can expect afternoon delays, though signage will be posted in advance. Regular, weekday flagging, for the Big Bear bridge project, continues from 7am to 5pm, on Highway 18 at the Big Bear Dam.
CalTrans also begins a $630,000 construction repair project on Highway 18/Big Bear Boulevard today (August 31); the project covers about 10 miles of roadway, extending from the Boulder Bay area east to Pineview Drive in Big Bear City. Traffic impacts are expected to be minimal, though weekday flagging can be expected from 8am to 3pm.
