Big Bear Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle

Mentone, CA, October 24, 2012, 9am - On October 23, 2012 at about 6:40pm, a 61 year-old man from Big Bear was walking southbound across Mentone Boulevard north of Crafton Avenue in Mentone and was struck by an eastbound 2000 Acura. Paramedics responded and pronounced him dead at the scene. The name of the man will be released once positive identification has been made and next of kin notified. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
