Big Bear City Resident Barbara Lowe Loses Life in Yesterday’s Single Vehicle Collision on Highway 38

coroner-thumbA single vehicle accident on Highway 38 near State Lane in the Erwin Lake area yesterday evening resulted in the death of a Big Bear City resident. Per the San Bernardino County Coroner’s report, “On Tuesday, October 27 at about 4:35pm, Barbara Lowe, a 74-year-old resident of Big Bear City, was a passenger in a 1999 Ford traveling northbound on State Route 38 in Big Bear City. For an unknown reason, the Ford veered off the roadway and struck a tree. Lowe was transported to Bear Valley Community Hospital, where she later died of her injuries. She was pronounced dead at 6:15pm. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.”
