Former Big Bear City Park to Be Addressed in Today’s Monthly Meeting of Airport District Board

The Board of Directors of the Big Bear Airport District meet for their regular monthly meeting at 2pm today, in the airport pilots lounge at the airport in Big Bear City. This afternoon’s meeting will provide follow-up information on potential uses and possible acquisition of the former Big Bear City Park, as FAA representative Margie Drilling had outlined compatible uses for the property at the airport meeting of January. It is also anticipated that today’s meeting will include discussion with legal counsel regarding a possible conflict of interest pertaining to the park issue, as one of the new airport directors lives adjacent to that area, which is just east of the airport runway.
